Stupid regulation not to be able to use bait. Isn't drinking water treated before drinking anyway?

been going there on and off for about 20 years in the early years caught a few trout but nothing for the last few years
caught 1 small reddie for the last 3 times i,ve been there only go there when desperate for a fish and some peace and quite ,been told there are some big golden perch but never seen any caught

I ventured up there weds afternoon. Day was nice, a bit warmer. I tried soft plastics, spinners, shads. I donated a couple to the lake, I found a couple too. Then promptly donated one of them back . I tried walking around the edge, casting at trees, between trees, deeper, shallower. I tried backhand, forehand, eyes shut, and anything else I could think of! But didn't even see a fish. Fished to dark and came home with donuts.
At least the scenery was nice, and I saw some Roos, ducks, bunnies...
