Anyone do much fishing around tooradin? Are those river/creeks on koo wee rup side of the air field any good? Or the koo wee rup swamp rest stop any good?

Bank access is steep and muddy especially at low tide when there may not be much water

I stopped and checked out the swamp stop the other day and there was a few bank spots at water level but wondering if that spot produces much decent fish and what fish.

Sawtells inlet is good for mullet. You can catch a range of fish there though.

my old man is part of one of the boat clubs along the creeks. Fisheries did some netting in there a few years ago...turned up perch, salmon, mullet, rays. There is plenty of fish in there... just need to decide what you want to catch and then target them specifically.

They can run fairly quickly, so around change of tides is a good time to target them. I think for memory, its around 2hrs on tooradin tides

Is it any good for bait collecting before heading for gummys/snapper? Or better to just fish shallows around WPB

Heading to Tooradin tomorrow to pump yabbies then Bunyip river later on for some night fishing with my son. Yet you know the results...preparing for the chill factor!

Tide wasn’t behaving, App said it was suppose to be coming in and it was still emptying! Nothing happening so will try next weekend.
