any suggestions for land based squid around melb? willing to travel around the bay. thanks in advance

Stony point has good size but current is strong. Also its choosing best colour that is problem. Night is best or late arvo

Obtain a copy of the Landbased Guide for Port Phillip and Corio Bays.

Every one has a favourite colour and will change depending on time of day, water colour, location.

If i recall there has been a few threads of late regarding squid jigs and what i think mite work one day mite not work next day.

I believe the white t14 was the choise from previous discussions

Williamstown , Gloucester park or pt gellibrand car park...west or nth wind high tide very shallow...
Middle Brighton pier on the bend .
Hampton rock groynes..
Werribee south rock groynes ,west or nth wind high tide...
St Leonard's pier n Queenscliff pier.

In fact, any where around Port Phillip where you can access the water, you can catch a squid. The Jetties tend to be the favourite.

Black Rock pier/ Half moon pay pier is great, I bagged out on squid over a 4 hour session there a couple of nights ago using a rip off sephia 14T
