carp fishing help!

Post by jay_thorn_ » Tue Apr 03, 2018 4:47 pm

Hey guys, i've been carp fishing at caufield park lately and i have had no luck! I'm fairly inexperienced with carp so i was wondering whether i am doing something wrong or whether i should choose a different spot such as gardiners creek. I've been using a running sinker rig and corn, all suggestions would be appreciated.

sorry no experience with caufield park - but give anywhere along the Yarra a crack and you will get on to them in general.

I personally think there are better baits than corn. Worms, maggots even meal worms burley is the key little often. I grind chicken pellets to like a flour or buy pollard mix with water make golf ball size balls and throw them where you are fishing the carp will come to you.
