The creek and its inhabitants must be squeaky clean by now.

It's bad news for the Patterson River aquatic environment, too. I can't imagine a wash down of foam is going to do wonders for the mulloway fishing this winter.

WOW>>if caught could be an $8000 fine or upwards .and prosecution..!!. that is pittance to what they have saved in disposing of the chemicals in the right way, plus stuffing up the environment along the way..been happening for ages now.. disgraceful ppl don't give a rats abt the waterways and how it effects others/marine life..

Yep, spot on. Same happens in the goldfields concerning illegal scrapes with dozers in no go zones. This one I know 100% is true.
Guy notorious for doing it about 10 - 12 years ago was caught out doing so after a quick push on private land where the owner lived elsewhere.
Fine, $10,000 thereabouts. Gold obtained $150,000. His comment at a pub up here "well that was a cheap push!" And laughed his head off. Later he did one at a flora/fauna reserve in or near Creswick, same deal, laughed his head off. The law in many cases is a joke and zero deterrence, in fact in the cases I mentioned it was incentive as getting claims would have cost more than the fines handed out.
