NOng footscray flattie and banjo

Post by jewel90 » Tue Jan 01, 2019 8:15 pm

Went to nong yesterday. Tide was coming in and used some blue bait from the servo and caught a nice flattie. Then caught a banjo on live bait.
water quality in Footscray is improving for sure.
Thanks and Happy new year to all anglers! Cheers!

Nice report and pics.
Doesn’t look like a bad size flattie. Nice work

That river produces good fish in summer. Fishes like pinkies and trevally. In Winter , i saw people catching monster jewies. I hope things will just get better. As a local there, this is the closest place i can fish.

Wow WTF! A flathead and Banjo in the Nong!? Im quite suprised, that's a double uncommon catch for sure. Legit I got into fishing the river from january 2018 and would go every month, sometimes a few times a week, all i'd ever catch was mainly black bream, occasionally a nice mullet! Caught some undesirables like the gobies and a toad, last time I went I caught my first nong trevally which was cool, but man a flathead, id be over the moon haha!
Nice job!
