I don't, would you tell me one or two of your secret spot?
Hahahaha ...
Nah I'm joking, finding new spots is part of the fun, feels much better when turns into a successful trip.

This spring and summer I plan to go out on the yak more for the big red and whiting.
Murray cod on the surface is also on the top of the list.

Webb dock in spring is like a Sunday market, back to back.
I remember people camped there with shelter, bbq pit, esky, etc.
Mmmmm... maybe I'll scratch Webb off my list then. I'm no fan of busy locations.

Sometimes it’s better to go weekdays if you can get a day off work.

Yea that place gets packed mate! I have had some awesome sessions there but that was quite sometime ago now when the place wasn’t as popular. These days I don’t really waste my time there.

Yeah definitely not keen on going shoulder to shoulder... Mornington pier in the summer is already too awful for me (as are most piers on that peninsula). That's the reason I was mostly heading to the rocks, and have been exploring some of the odder jetties down Sorrento way, some of them I've saved as potential spots to try for fish since I had some success on the squid there.

Are there any other rock platforms to fish off in the bay down the Mornington side apart from Mt Martha? I've been thinking of trying the rocks near Portsea pier next time I'm in that area. Still chasing my first whiting and proper sized snapper.

Check the weather, its packed on a nice weather day. On rough weather weekdays usually less people.

Those rocks in mount Martha can get quite busy during the warmer months as well!
I’ve gotten out of my car and looked down to see people then hopped back in the car and gone to the next spot to find people there too.
But a great spot if you are after your first whiting/proper size snapper.

I have often wondered about the virtues of the rocky shoreline at the foot of Olivers Hill in Frankston. It seem accessible by a path from the Olivers Hill boat ramp.

Can anyone comment on whether it is good, bad, or indifferent ?
