If they resumed the rescue this morning its a body recovery. Saw a vic pol crime investigation vehicle heading up potters hill red this arvo not sure if it’s connected.
You live there mate? I like that beach down there. Had the whole thing to my self one day in summer.
Nearby the beach at potters hill can dish up a nasty shore break on its day.
Oh yeah mate. Found it very hard to fish the first time there.

That ledge has an enormous wall of rock about a metre under the surface at low tide 10m or so out in front of it. It is extraordinarily difficult to land a fish from.
Yeah thats what sort of put me off as well. Thought if got something descent i may slip trying to get it up. Ledge on the left side yeah? Around the bend?

Yes. I fished there once and never bothered to go back.

If you're interested in that area, you can actually walk from San Remo all the way to Kilcunda along the cliff tops. It's called the George Bass coastal walk. There are dozens of fishable spots, both beach and rocks along the way. It's actually a really really enjoyable day if you just take a spin rod and try to do a few of them.

Chance to hook literally anything on that stretch of water too.

I was really keen to fish off rocks at the end of potters hill rd once, got there in the morning and though better of it, just fish closer to the beach. Thought if i slipped in no one would know i was there other than my missus. Thought i should go with another person at least.
Good decision mate :tu:
