Wilsons Prom Species

Post by Leronzia » Sun Dec 15, 2019 6:17 pm

Hi All,

Seen plenty of fishing reports from the prom but a, heading myself down there for a week and I fish squeaky, and Norman and all I get is salmon and occasional tailor. Any other fish you can catch there and if so how do I rig. Thanks in advance

from what ive heard you can fish tidal river for bream flathead mullet and whiting. lures and a paternoster with chicken or squid should get you something.

Tiny bits of chicken on the smallest hook you can find inside the estuary.

Outside there's literally everything from whiting to sharks.

If you get the opportunity go for a walk down to the end of tongue point, it's unbelievable and under rated.

Yeah bluethroat. They can be great fun on little plastics and have often saved the day when I've been kingfishing and getting donuts.

I'd still call a day with nothing other than 1 gazillion blue throat caught, a donut.

Hey boys continuing wanna try whisky today. Is it any good. Please would appreciate tips on best bait. Target species and fishing location. Willing to be a little creative nothing crazy but. (Have done Norman walk past the gap all around the point, so I’m not a complete noob).
