Post by rabah 01 » Fri Jan 11, 2013 7:43 pm

Hey guys
Heard from a friend that princess pier was re-opened for fishing?
Used to go there a long time ago with my dad until it got harder to bypass the fencing haha but was told that it was recently opened again?!... havnt had the chance to head down there for a look yet...
Anyone know if he was just pulling my leg?

I took these photos just before Christmas.

You can fish the beginning of the pier, but as you can see, not the end!

I've been there a few times over the past 12 months. Never had a bite but I have seen some fish caught there at other times when I've been riding past. They close the gates at 9pm from which time you can keep fishing from before the fence.

I think that speaks for itself, those pylons don't look too good ! . And if the pylons are like that, I could only image that the top pier deck was worse :bolt: The Pylons 'maybe' re-usable again ?, reason they are still there maybe ? , or yet to be inspected or removed. Time will tell. Cheers , Rick

Bream hang around those pylons, seen them there in the middle of the day picking tasty morsels off them.

cheers Rick. didnt really pay too much attention to the state of those pylons tbh.. but your right.. looks like they have had their run! was a fantastic pier to fish off back in the day.
