Re: KANANOOK CREEK
15 years ago I used to live in Gould st and backed onto kananook creek behind the cinemas.
I wouldnt even think of trying to catch a fish there let alone eating it back then , unless you liked shopping trolleys, trash, junk, or dead bodies.

Re: KANANOOK CREEK
Went down to the Creek for the first time with hardbodies today. In the space of a couple hours I caught two small bream and three bay trout. Had a few failed hook-ups, too. I wouldn't want to eat anything from the Kananook Creek, unless I was fixing to earn a week off work, but it's a nice spot. A lot of mullet there, too. I was surprised to see how aggressively the small ones were following my lure.

Re: KANANOOK CREEK
If the water is clear as it often is during summer, I see bream up to about 30 cm & plenty of eels from the McCulloch Ave bridge on my way to the beach. I have tried to catch them on a couple of occasions but by the time I get home to get my gear & return they are gone. There are fish in there for sure.
