Quick help lowrance
Not sounding bottom anywhere atm. Not even in shallows. For what it's worth I believe I'm currently sitting in 20m of water where the pic was taken
Can't hear the transducer ticking so I'm thinking that might be the problem? Maybe it's not getting power or something?
Tried resetting/disengaging power to it.

Re: Quick help lowrance
Unplug then reattach transducer cable at the unit. Power up and if that doesn't work reset the units transducer model settings (if it has the option).
Worse comes to worse, I had a HDS 5 start doing similar but would come good after a minute or 2, eventually never coming good. The unit itself fried the transducer and destroyed both after only a few years. Unit was replaced by a different brand unit that's been of no issue (and tbh even with stock settings reads a tonne better) in almost a similar time on the boat

Re: Quick help lowrance
Reset the nit back to default settings and see what happens. Check your transducer plug for corrosion and make sure it's connected properly. Make sure transducer settings match the transducer model listed on the silver sticker near the plug. Borrow someone else's head unit and see if it works with your transducer to narrow down the issue to transducer or head unit. Good luck. The non HDS units from this manufacturer seem to be built to a price and I have seen/heard of heaps of them failing. If you are under warranty give that a go.

I'm actually retarded sometimes I think
The transducer plug was completely out or the back of the unit lol. It's all good now!
No idea how I didn't think to check that. Blonde moment.
