Buying first Tinny

Hey guys. Prob asked a million times, but its just a quick one.. Looking at buying a 12ft Stacer Tinny this week. Do i need to check the HIN? He says its registered but i cant see a HIN on the hull.. Thanks

Depends on the age of the tinny but should be on a plate ion the inside, older boats don't always have a HIN, you can use the engine number as well . Or just get the rego off the side of the boat and use that to call vic roads and find out if it's registered.

Yea it's a 2012 Stacer.. Should it be on the outside or they put them on the inside now?

If it's registered it will have the Hin & the Rego numbers on the sticker.

Should i do a check on it? And trailer?. Who does it vic roads?

Yes Vicroads will have all the info. If it's 2012 model then it should be ok but make sure there is no finance on it as well.

I have a 2007 Stacer Tinny and the Hull ID number is stamped on the outside of the transom :thumbsup:
