Re: lone star winch
hi Barra,
From memory, mine holds about 80-90 meters plus chain....
For the bay its perfect, with the rule of 3 times the depth out in rope ( or that's what I go by anyhow )
I don't anchor any deeper in all honesty.
If you go on Ebay, or Google up lone star anchor winch, im sure you can get all the specs. But I know you could just ring the shop
and they are extremely accommodating with answering questions etc
Im pretty sure with the new ones, they guarantee their motors against any water ingress ( or something to that effect )
But the big thing for me was, any issue and they put it right !

Re: lone star winch
I'm not looking to pick anything but I've found the complete opposite. From memory there was a popular marine sales person with the name of a certain animal that picked apart a few of the brands and had a genuine non biased quick say on winches/their popularity over the last 4-5 years. I'm sure if you dig around you'll find itFish-Hunter wrote:Heard only good reports about Lonestar winches, but i know more boat owners using the 'SAVWINCH'
