Just bought a boat!

Post by bigdan91 » Tue Nov 29, 2016 8:20 pm

So I just bought a 3.3m inflatable for camping/spearfishing/fishing out of. I live in Balnarring so will be looking for some spots to take it for a fish.
Never really done any boat fishing so not sure where to even start. My rod fishing usually consists of squid at flinders and portsea and salmon at gunnamatta.

Hoping with this I can get on to more flathead and whiting.
I don't have a sounder or gps but can anyone give me some resources/general directions to head out in either southern PPB or WPB? And if anyone has good boat spearfishing locations that would be great too
Hopefully somewhere with a beach/easy to get the boat in. Doesn't need a ramp. Only have an 8hp motor so nothing too far away from launch area.

I hope you know you will need a Boat licence if you have a motor on it ;-)

It wasn't you putting it together on the Safety Beach foreshore the other day was it? Someone was setting one up very similar.

Nah mate mine only arrived last night. Had any luck at gunna lately? I haven't been back since that time me and the girlfriend saw you a few months ago
