Like Fishnmiss said get something like a zodiac thats what i use when i go to Eildon my GF has one. They are bloody hard to paddle unfortunately i have had to find that out the hard way when the motor stopped luckily i was close and there was no wind.

Its not worth risking your life, i'm a very confident swimmer but would hate to be stuck on the lake at night especially if wet.

Doesn't matter how strong a swimmer you are.. once you're too cold.. you're dead.

Save your money mate and buy a kayak or a tinny.

Go for it just wear a life jacket and make sure you don’t venture far from shore. Not enough risk takers these days.

I've paddled around in similar and can say it's slow, cumbersome, wet and uncomfortable. Get a kayak instead.

Bought this a while ago. Yet to use it.. i bought it for just small camping trips etc where taking the main boat was just difficult etc. Probably wouldn't venture out to far in it though :)

My pa had a similar baot to this and had a small 2hp on the back when we were little kids. It was ok but couldn't stand up or move around and had to be ao careful of sticks and scraping in in mud
