Solution: Move closer to the ramp.
We contomplated moving closer but for a house that didnt need renovations cos my wife was 8 months pregnant and i was working 5 nights a week (cos we would be down to 1 income for a year) we couldnt afford a house within 1/2 hr drive drive or less from the water.

If i had the money i would buy 5 mins from the ramp.
Hehe, yeah all that makes it hard. I am 5-10 mins from the ramp, and 10-20 from the other ramps I use. Its fantastic. If your circumstances change I highly recommend considering it.

Yep. We both back at work so now. Well the wife part time. And cant afford something close to mornington or crib point so looking at getting a holiday house at cowes and rent it out most of the time.

How is a holiday house plus the one you already own be more expensive than buying a house in the suburbs man.
You can get a decent house now for 550k. Brand new. Down my way and im 20 mins from.mornington and 45 min to stony point.

Some reason the new house and land packages are now same prices as old house and land package. But tbe older houses have 600sq and new ines half the size.
Thius is carrum downs. So might not be the same in other areas.

Our house.in pakenham worth 500 lol.
If if we buy another investment we can borrow 380k and still keep what we got lol
Therewise we have to sell to move

And all the newer places from berwick to chadstobe have no land amd nowhere for boat parkig and if so the yards are tiny

I wouldnt want to go less then a 550 600 block
