Should take a 20lt drum with you and get some frames from the ramp and use as berley or tie up and hand over the side
Good idea as long as i don't forget the shark traces and balloons.

After a couple of days squid/Whiting fishing last weekend until midnight I completely stripped the inside of my boat and washed it all down properly. You don’t realise how much **** and filth you have in a boat until you give it a complete tear down.

I’m going to start running systema tubs in the boat to help keep clutter to a minimum whilst keeping gear protected and easy to find.

Did a trip to Eden a year ago & took 3x too much gear, it was hard work. Ol mate dropped over today and we have simplified what we need to take rather than want. Cleaned out under floor storage bins and made room for the important tackle. Bought some of these in different sizes for the storing gear & drop into Boat when needed.

Yeah. A little bit of lots of things is much better than trays of gear you don’t need. I’m sick to death of having my casting deck full. Bags everywhere and eskys and **** because 3 people have brought everything. Then when you’re frantically trying to find a lure because you’ve had a squid chase up a Whiting. Or a random salmon bustup you’re throwing **** everywhere. Lol.

Gonna start running a minimalist approach. 2 Plano boxes. 1 mixed lures. 1 mixed baito gear. Tub of pliers and knives, leader and other essentials. Sorted.

Did that once and only had squid jigs and there was a salmon bust up, and we search high low for any lures left in the boat.

For Portland, it will be the 4 game rods, harness, lures plus rigging tools and bits and pieces
A few squid jigs, a small box of salmon lures.
The witch doctor and another attractor
2 telescopic rods and 2 lighter rods for bottom bouncing.
2 gaffs,
A priest.
Filliting knives and bait knives
Shark traces and balloons
