Re: Getting on with boat re-build
Thanks Anth,
When I start to take pic's of the boat fit out, I'll return to your post and try and make sense of it and give it a go .
I had a wee try last nite but couldn't work out how to re size, I've saved all my Pic's on the computor, so i must be able to re size somehow.
I'm sure its like most things, once you do it, it makes sense, BUT, you are dealing with the Neandathol man here !
Funny thing is, I've never had an issue pryor to download a photo, strange.
And VOO DOO, HaHaHa, Very witty sir !
No it wasn't the same bloke that skittled my brick in Port phillip, but I'm wondering if there's a distant gene connection happening there but .
Your descriptions of my new U-Bute computor are way off, non of those you mention have coloured beads on top for counting. :a_goodjob:

I remember those days Cobby !cobby wrote:I wouldn't say quieter, just a different more powerful sounding note. That eye watering gorgeous cloud of blue smoke, that deep rumble and spitting sound out of the exhaust, that horrifically violent shake, the roar of thunder that travelled for miles as the throttle was smashed to sunset.frozenpod wrote:Opti is a brilliant motor except for the noise, the 6 cylinders are louder than old school 2 strokes.
Yamaha and zuk 2 strokes were always a bit nicer and quiter than Evinrude/Johnson and Mercs.
They were never the same once they dropped that time honoured box shape

Re: Getting on with boat re-build
Mate, the smell of 2 stroke still brings me back to being 5 years old, sitting the the back of the Yalta, while dad warmed up the 135 for a big day of fishing. I have been hooked ever sinceMattblack wrote:That was like reading a masculine '50 shades of grey'....how good is the smell of 2-stroke in the morningcobby wrote:But nothing will ever beat the sound and smell of a 135hp+ V6 black max Mercury on its first start in 3 weeks at 4am.
