After a pretty long break, some progress with the boat is being made.
Transom raised to take a 25'' leg, stringers in place and new plastic tank fits nice and snug.
Floor is being carried at the same level thru small cuddy cabin area, the cuddy area just wasn't used, storage under the old seats was limited and
a waste of time. I will be cutting storage compartments up the centre, which has a sub floor underneath between the stringers, either pre making up containers to insert in, or make up lids. the rest of the storage ideas will be done at some stage before re launching, have some crazy ideas but need to think it thru first.....

I like the idea of the long tank. That's what my boat needs to spread the weight of fuel evenly along the boat. Having a 350L tank sitting right at the back isn't the best design ideas..

Are you going to foam fill the empty spaces under the floor?

Hey, Sinsemilla, Geez, 350l right at the back would play a part in how your boat performs, What size ??

No I'm not foam filling, pretty happy with the boats bouyancy etc.
A leak up front from a previous owners repair job basically rotted everything down under, that and cruise crafts lack of use of fibre glass on the stringers and bulk heads. Just made sure if she does spring a leak under there again, the water can get out and it wont do any damage in there LOL.

Just went through your original post, I don't know how these guys get away with it, hopefully they run into the wrong guy and see how hard it is to walk when your knee caps are broken. My boat has level a floor all the way through and this is a good way to go for sure, roll out the swag and have a good comfortable sleep.

Hi Ango, yeah that was a while ago now and yep, was a frustrating time.
How much easier to clean and cover the floor without that damn centre board.
Time will tell.

Just a swag does me !
I'll sort the storage out first, that's my main goal.
Was always frustrated in finding homes for all the necessaries.
Have a pair of fibre glass seat boxes to install which will also give storage options.
That's the down fall of an older boat, they were pretty basic with storage options, just looking at options at the minute while I'm in re-build mode.

That's a decent sized boat, don't know what brand it is, but any 7 mtr boat would be effected by 300 odd kilos on its stern I would think.
Is that a factory made tank and the position it's in ?
