Re: New clears
Ive heard great things about the polycarb clears with the only drawback being the rigidity...though they are perfect if you dont need to fold the canopy down and take the clears off every time

Re: New clears
You deserve the dry comfort mate, and so does your well-earnt gear! Especially considering the offshore fishing you do man. Whatever direction you take to solve the problem will be a great investment I'm sure

Re: New clears
The fully enclosed hardtop are good but you lose alot off fishing room.
I have a open boat cause fishing room comes bf comfort atm
One day that will change

Re: New clears
My clears are the original thick vinyl hard to fit in winter to loose in summer, they are still ok to see through but the Bimini has started to crack and get small holes in. But the front one lets water in when you cop a wave over the bow that runs up your windscreen. Even when just travelling through chop and the wind flicks the spray back onto the windscreen eventually water drips through the zip for the window. I had extra flaps fitted I even applied silastic to the joins of clears to vinyl. I don’t expect to spend that sort of cash every every few years my understanding they will be more waterproof and last a lot longer.smile0784 wrote:Hey nude up if your spending 3 to4 k every few years. Re: New clears
Depends on the size of the boat as well, hard tops tend to throw and un balance a boat if to small, they become a wind catch.
I think nudes is over the 6 meter mark so would probably be ok. But unless you made it your self, I'm picking it would be cost inhibitive, compared to a new bimini type set up.....

Re: New clears
Update dropped the boat off yesterday at Bundoora boat upholstery, having now seen the poly carb clears I have decided to go with them they are semi rigid but I can not fold my rocket launcher down it’s fixed. The quality of the work that I saw there was very good my mate tuna tube came with me and he liked the poly carbs too. I should get the boat back late this week or early next week I will post pictures then. Thanks for all the suggestions
