Bar crusher v Surtees v Extreme

Post by Daryl » Thu Dec 20, 2018 3:09 pm

In the not to distant future looking at perching a 6.5HT

Starting my research, I'm concentrating on 3 brands Bar Crusher, Surtess and Extreme.

Anyone been in 2 or more of these boats for comparison?

Does any one know what's with all the talk about Bar Crusher steeling Surtees hull design?

Would like for my coin to stay in Aus but not if the above is true.

Cheers, Daryl

You can barely compare a Barcrusher to a Surtees. Barcrusher are pretty much a Surtees copy.

They both aren't anywhere near an Extreme..

extreme and it isn't close

who cares that they aren't aussie made. if anything, it will make our aussies become more innovative with their designs and competitive with their prices for the future

if you want an aussie made plate boat that isn't a knock off of a kiwi, look at ozsea. a mate has one and he says good things.

Recon I'm starting to come around to your way of thinking Kimtown about the hole Aussie dollar thing.
If your going to drop 100k on a boat you want the best bang for your buck!
Are Extreme that far ahead???

For 20 years I've had a soft spot for Stabbie

Spose I'm just looking for something that will cut through chop sharper and that is set up
straight of the bat just for hard core fishing

have a look at profile and senator boat. if you like the pontoon styles of stabi but have a sharper cutting for going through the chop.

The extreme is a very well built boat!!!!.

Extreme are my pick of all the plate boats
Mclays are pretty good bang for buck too. bigger deck space than most in the class at the sacrifice of the cab room, if that's what you're after
