Barwon Bridges boat clearance

Post by Yota » Mon Dec 31, 2018 4:04 pm

Afternoon all, can anyone tell me the minimum clearance for a boat under both bridges over the Barwon River please.
It’s been a while since I was down that way.
I tried searching the www but I probably wasn’t looking at the right sites I can’t find any mention of clearance for boats.

Thanks and have a safe New Year.
Jamie

Found this video,
https://youtu.be/-IafKz1tQR0

Nicely put together video and information by the fellas.
Lots of good info.
At the 5:35 minute mark they mention 1.9 M clearance at high tide.
Sadly for me, it's too short for my boat, even at low tide it would be too close for my liking. Unless I ditch the T-Top that is a permanent fixture.
But that's not going to happen if I can help it.
Anyway I hope this info helps someone else.

I have a 4.58 with full roof and clears with a fixed anchor light. I don't like to go under any higher then 1.5m at high tide for Barwon Heads bridge. I also try not to go down the river any lower than .5m on low tide.
