What sort of sounder you have?

Did you end up with any? Lol

You need to catch some for bait for when we go gummy hunting lol
I've got a lowrance elite ti9 sounder..
Yeah I got about 15 fish yesterday. And about 12 squid And similar amount few days earlier.. and a double bag of squid..

Speaking of gummies I was around for secret spot x this arvo and had a sound around there but I wasnt sure if I was in the right area. If I seen any structure I would have send you a shot of it so you know what's there next time..

It gets similar readings to your results but if I use the bottom zoom it has better bottom reading and does give better results picking up reef.
I’ve also got a structurescan transducer for the bottom and side scan. It gives similar results to your downscan images - it’s great.
Just thought I’d see if you use the bottom zoom feature.
I've got a total scan transducer on an elite ti 9 unit.
I havent used bottom zoom lock . Might look into it. Where do I find that on the lowrance units.
Half the problem.is getting the transducer mounted properly and my boat has a very unique hull which makes everything twice as hard....
I’m not familiar with the Elite series, but being a Lowrance product I would guess there is a possibility it would be along similar lines to my Simrad - also being in the Lowrance family. With mine it’s as simple as either pinching the screen (to zoom) or using the rotary dial (to zoom) as long as the sonar display window is “open” or highlighted.
I’ll try to find an example image later - after work ha ha ha.

Not a bad catch mate.
Do you know if my sounder is side scan compatible?

The elite ti9 is a watered down HDS gen 2 model.
I can do the same thing with the zoom.button. but I dont like the extra band on the screen when I do so. Not sure if simrads have it. But most newer lowrance do. So I dont zoom.anymore as it annoys me. Will take a pic later to show tou what I'm talking about

Yes Purple I think that’s the same feature. I just checked, I don’t have a pic on my phone of an example shot. Sorry
