Can anyone out these recommend a good brand of Ratchet Tie Downs for the boat/trailer?....preferably ones that don't jam or corrode

Bunnings sell some heavy duty stuff. Comes with fancy carbon fiber ratchet handles and housings..

Theres also ones you can buy that attach permanently to the trailer like tou see on most bass boats. Probably cost a bit I'd say.

I just have normal bunnings ones and spray wd40 on them occasionally..

I’ll be buying these puppies after getting a bit of gelcoat damage from having ratchets mechanism rub on the back of the transom

Do these bolt onto the trailer?

Nah these don’t. But the hook is very low. So it is away from the hull.

The trailer ones are double the price. Plus I reckon it’s a thief magnet in addition to getting submerged on the reg.

I have the same issue ducky, on both sides of my boats transom the paint has rubbed off from the friction between the ratchet mechanism and boat. Pretty annoying!
