Looking for a Jack Russell or Foxy pup
I'm looking for either a Jack Russell or Fox Terrier pup or even a Cross. If anyone has a litter knows of someone with a litter please let me know.

Re: Looking for a Jack Russell or Foxy pup
I would love to adopt an older dog but we have 2 cats who grew up with our other dog who unfortunately passed away a few weeks ago after 14 years and they would not accept an adult dog. That's why we want to get a pup.purple5ive wrote::thumbsup:

Understandable - perhaps give a few adoption places a ring or at least check their website. A lot of them will have younger dogs, including the breed you wish to own. You'll be surprised what turns up at adoption places. I would highly recommend contacting some of the organisations before purchasing. Good luck!Boonanza wrote:I would love to adopt an older dog but we have 2 cats who grew up with our other dog who unfortunately passed away a few weeks ago after 14 years and they would not accept an adult dog. yeah mate adoption doesnt mean older dogs, theres always something thats waiting for you if you look hard enough. you got nothing to loose if you dont find one there then buy a young one.

Re: Looking for a Jack Russell or Foxy pup
I with pooh & purple5ive, there's a jack Russell rescue Facebook page.
Try and go rescue, if you can.
I have seen how SOME puppy farms & backyard breeders treat their animals.
A pure breed is more likely to have problems, due to inbreeding.
I have a mate that spent $12,000 (not a typo) on two dogs, for showing & they were both duds.
Enjoy your new fur baby.
Cheers Gra

Boonanza, definitely not calling you out on wanting to find a breeder. There are some good and bad ones but always listen to your veterinarian.Texas wrote:I with pooh & purple5ive, there's a jack Russell rescue Facebook page.

I've heard some absolute rubbish advice from owners that have listened to their breeders including feeding an all meat diet (unbalanced and will see issues like abnormal growth) or that 'fleas do not affect healthy animals' (which is just ridiculous).
Pick carefully and always ask to see the facilities. Best of luck!
