Need to use a timber thicknesser

Post by trout-hunter » Fri Sep 07, 2018 5:00 pm

Hey all. I have a big block of merbau that im making a chopping board out of. Ive ran the plane over it but its comming up all uneven. Is there anywhere i can get it put through a thicknesser? I cant think of anyone that would do it.
Cheers

Try the local mens shed if you have one in your area they usually have some wood working equipment there. Otherwise take it to a local cabinet maker or joiner and they will do it for you at a small cost.

Ahh i know what you men.. i think i caused a bit of a dip in the middle because i went a bit slower. I just cant get rid of the plane groves, Ill give it another crack tomorrow. Might upset the neighbors if i start planning again now. Bloody noisey tool thats for sure..
