Re: Why are you here?
Whilst it makes me green with envy to read on other folks success on the water, I enjoy those reports that contain some hints on their methods or techniques... its a learning forum from which can expand our own knowledge. So for me when I am posting I keep in mind that I need to offer enough information that others can make a judgement about what is a good or poor location, what works or doesn't, what might be a better time to go or not.
As for the rubbish commentary that occurs... sure it annoys me, but as fishos we're born with enough patience to see such trivialities come and go like the tides.

It's an exhilarating feeling catching a fish
But it's an even better feeling releasing them

Re: Why are you here?
I joined to get ideas while getting back into fishing
I have learned heaps, but fish still elude me.
The cod and Doon trips are great, meeting new people & talking sh@t
We did have carp culls, but, the organiser left the site. The plenty river cull had quite a few turn up, I think.
About the rubbish some people put up (I'm guilty), some of it is very funny and anyway no good being serious all the time, remember miffy and sparkles
Some posts are so well written/presented (with photo's & video's) that you have to read/watch them, even if your not into that type of fishing
Stay woke

Re: Why are you here?
Help others, make friends with like minded people, talk some **** and hopefully learn something myself along the way.
I still haven't managed to catch a Thresher shark and it certainly wasn't for a lack of trying.

Re: Why are you here?
1. Joined a few years back to make fishing mates and offer spare spots up when I take the boat out.
2. Read fishing reports and brag about my catches.
3. Help people out when they ask questions if I know the answers.
4. It a good source of information if I need to know something
