Basil ******* Zemplis ***** me to tears. Won't forget his call of Richmond vs Freo a few years back where the tigers got a sizeable jump on the undefeated Dockers. For 2 and a half quarters even into the last 5 minutes with a still sizeable deficit he was still claiming Freo were coming to take the lead.

The rest I don't care about. Only watch 1 game a week these days on my phone. Voume only gets turned on when I'm doing something else just so I can keep tabs on the flow of the game. AFL is ****** these days
How could I forget Basil? Jeez he's awful. I don't see him on air much anymore.

Some people are great commentators that provide insight and some are great because they can entertain too. In the cricket Henry Blowfly (Blowfell) and Kerry OKeefe were great entertainers.

In the AFL Rex Hunt, even though he was over the top at times was funny and actually had some insight.

But then I could go back to guys like Mike Williamson, Ted Whitten, Ian Major and Jack Dyer. They could commentate but wow they could be funny.

Some of Jack Dyer's commentary:

I won't say anything in case I say something

Things aren't the same now that there are five teams in the top four

His arms rose up like two giant testicles

Fitzroy just copulated to the opposition

Bartlett’s older than he’s ever been before

Retaliate first

I miss the old days of World of Sport and League Teams. We are losing the ability to laugh at ourselves with all the PC stuff. :(

Best Wishes
