Telstra rope

Post by Texas » Sun Aug 18, 2019 1:29 pm

Just saw a picture of some salmon being dragged along the beach, using blue & yellow rope - Telstra rope
Question ---- do you know anybody that DOES NOT have Telstra rope ???
Cheers Gra
If you don't know,, The rope is used to drag cable from 1 pit to the next
OHS says it can only be used once. It is strong and durable.
If you see them working, just ask for some

so what you guys refer to as Telstra rope, it is a once only use product due to the potential of Asbestos Fibres in the underground pits from which the cable is dragged whilst attached to underground cables.
Having said that I know of cases where it is pulled thru hundreds of metres of pvc and then discarded. a total waste of money and product but very handy when I need some to use on boat, trailer etc

its the kinnears blue/yellow rope they use for running fibre cables underground since it wont easly damage the glass strands.
