Re: declaring your manufacturer/distributor allegiances
I wouldnt take that approach Adrian - i saw and checked it out. There is also likely a bunch of lurkers who have done the same and may give him some new business. Better up than down imo.meppstas wrote: ↑Thu Aug 22, 2019 4:52 pmMy reply back on page nine of this original topic that has gone way of the topic would probably not have even been noticed..
If I could have removed it I would have. so I've sent a message to a Moderator to remove it because it was a waste of time putting it on..
it's time to stay with the original topic that's been placed on the forum..
cheers

I noticed Adrian , , , , as I'm sure others have too
Your post, Adrian and one of Rick's (IFISHALOT) are the stand out posts of this thread. AND are what this thread is all about. I have taken time out of my evening to stop and type this and let you know that I am planning on replying to yours and Rick's but don't want to rush it and not give it the due credence it and Rick's deserves, as both have very good points, probably the best points being made on this thread.
Cheers, your friend Bill (don't tell Rick , , , , I do like him , , , , but I like you better )

Re: declaring your manufacturer/distributor allegiances
I don't think anyone particularly cares if a good post is off topic, Adrian could put an informative post about trout in the tuna sub forum and I'm willing to bet no one would get upset about it. The page after page of white noise posting got a bit tedious though.happyfriggincamper wrote: ↑Thu Aug 22, 2019 5:41 pmI wouldnt take that approach Adrian - i saw and checked it out. it is an off topic Forum, but yes the fellas got a bit excited about some future purchases
maybe a mods could clear this up and keep it on topic..
cheers
Well said Steve, the lads just got a bit excited , , , , as we all can sometimes , , , , and it simply got away from them as they got immersed in that.
Sinsemilla wrote: ↑Thu Aug 22, 2019 4:04 pmWell said Alex. Someone had to say it.mazman wrote: ↑Thu Aug 22, 2019 2:13 pmI believe the point is to move general chat that doesn't further enrich or at the bare minimum relate to the topic at hand to pm's or refrain from posting it.
This thread was about gear preferences and sponsorship and part way through it there is pages of back and forth between yourself and LX about upcoming gear purchases.
Cheers, Anth
I agree Anth, someone said it , , , , and nicely , , , , not like some of the other pitiful comments made at the expense of LX and Smiley
Totally agree cobby. Just because the lads (LX & Smiley) got caught up in their excitement, there is no need to poke and pitifully score points at their expense.
There's a way to address things and Mazz (who shall be known to some as Alex ) said it appropriately.
Cheers, Bill , , , , we may not be able to control other's behaviour but we can our own , , , , glad to see that some did and played nice (those mentioned above)

Re: declaring your manufacturer/distributor allegiances
These look great Mepps whats the action of these lures and what depth do they run. Think they would go well on the EP'smeppstas wrote: ↑Thu Aug 22, 2019 10:15 amWell here's a few lures sent to me from "Pointer Lure Project" a kayak fisherman who has been making hard body lures for a couple of years now and is trying to get a small lure business together & sell a few lures. He sent me a couple last trout season to test out on the trout, one of which worked exceptionally well on the trout, it was the "Sergeant Major" lure that caught quite a few trout in a spin session. That lure actually caught my 400th trout for the season.

This morning I received a few more new models to try out for him during this trout season & I'm sure they'll do well on the trout. As we know (trout fisho's) trout can be fussy from one day to the next so what doesn't work on them one day can work the following day.. Anyway I'm pretty confident these nice little 40mm & 57mm lures will catch a few trout.. I'm not sponsored by Pointer Lure Project as I have my own sponsor, just wanted to help promote someone trying to get a small business together.. He sell the lure for around $8-50 each plus postage which varies from the size of the order. Usually around $3-00 for four lures I think it is.. Anyway I thought I'd let you know if you're after a few decent & well priced lures he's well worth checking out..

Here's the website for anyone who is interested in getting hold of a few well priced lures..
