Would be cool if we have annual or seasonally meeting of Fishing Victoria

Post by Jasonfish1234 » Tue Aug 27, 2019 12:43 pm

The idea is that all the member of this online group ' Fishing Victoria' would have a meeting in one location, where is near freshwater and saltwater fishing spot with possible all fish such as snapper, bream, trout and etc, we would complete with in 4-5 people in a group and have to name their team and talk lame trash about other group (Just a bit of fun) to catch a large fish or whatever depend on the game, the winner would some sort of award. Then that night we bring our catch and bqq it and enjoy AD/CD or whatever with bunch booze (Warning possible hungover). This meeting would be 3 days time, start from Friday, Saturday and Sunday during peak of every fish. :a_goodjob: We party like animal no wife that hate fishing allow or anything that stop from enjoying this meeting, you could bring someone too, if you enjoy be company with them and they don't hate fishing and allow you to buy fishing gear. This just an idea! Crazy idea! for us to enjoy fishing and become hungover next days and then fish again. Fishing party with no limt,  . Don't take this for real

We did have one such meetup a while ago.
although none was drinking or trash talking each other.
Meetup was at Brighton pier and was good to meet a lot of memebers lots of who are not on here anymore.

I remember offering to run a on the fly soft plastics lesson for the people who were keen to get into it.
A few people took up the offer and we had a quick lesson at the rockwall. Not sure if they ended up continuing to use lures or just gave up. But it's something I do remeber happening.

Along with some very expensive braid getting birdsnested by another certain individual from here hahaha.
From.memory a few squid, pinkies and flathead were caught that day.

Not sure I'm up for a 3 day party like an animal no wife, but the Brighton pier thing sounded good.....a few beers at the refurbished Albert Park Angling Club on Kerferd Rd pier would be even better
