Congratulations Lincoln
Your report about Albert Park lake made it into news.com.au
You'll either make zillions of dollars or millions of enemies (radical vegans)
Hopefully it's the former
Not many get their report's in the "paper"
Keep those reports coming

Re: Congratulations Lincoln
Yes, congratulations to Lincoln, mainly for how you handled the situation, very well
I read the article, and although it stands as vaguely unbias, it does lean towards the lady.
It defends the lady as possibly being a "concerned member of the public" and might not be an "activist".
The article recites the law but doesn't mention that Lincoln wasn't breaking the law by fishing in Albert Park Lake.
I thought it was quite prejudical though, in that it stated that "European Carp must not be returned once caught". The article doesn't mention the FULL aspect of the Law when mentioning about Carp. It makes no mention of "Must be killed immediately".
Looks like The News.com don't want "concerned members of the public" with cameras in their hands filming their response to the "killing of carp" turning up to their doorstep BUT are ok with and even defend these "concerned members of the public" when they confront (wrongfully) the law abiding Fishos like Lincoln.

Re: Congratulations Lincoln
apart from: A spokesman from Parks Victoria confirmed it was legal to fish at the lake, which contains a mix of native and introduced fish.
Missed that bit.

Re: Congratulations Lincoln
Does anyone want to fish Albert Park? With daylight savings and all, couple of hours fishing after work is doable.
Oh yes, well done Lincoln.

That's more than enough confirmation. And it also states below about catch and release policy...

Re: Congratulations Lincoln
Maybe change the sign to read " Do not not disturb the wildlife and fisher people "
He who has the most fishing rods WINS !
