Re: Bad England
I'm in two minds about this. I agree that everyone should make an effort to get their spelling and grammar right but I'd hate to think that anyone would hesitate to post because they are self conscious about their written expression. I've seen some shockers on the forum but I can honestly say that I always manage to get the message OK. So keep posting!

Re: Bad England
I agree Col, we are all different and a comma here or a miss-used word there, although might not be perfect, the message still gets across , , , , well for those that care to get the message.
But I'd be surprised if anyone didn't post because of criticism of the miss-use of commas or pronunciation or spelling. Members don't post for different reasons.
I'd rather read a badly english post than no post at all
But I definitely agree , , , , keep posting
Cheers, Bugatti (who has a bag full of commas , , , , and isn't afraid to use them)

What a coincidence, that's what Grandma said , , , , when the Waiter brought out her Pan-fried Barramundi with a Garden Salad dressed with a Zesty Lime Vinaigrette

Why would you say that she was a woman (not a lady)?Bugatti wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2019 6:56 amOne of the things I find amusing, is when they bugger up sayings.
Just recently, a woman (not a lady) said to a mate that he had "Small Syndrome Man" , , , , I asked her if that was an action figure, like one of The Avengers , , , , she made herself look even more stupid by trying to explain her mistake , , , , while for the rest of the evening, we rubbed salt into her illiterate wound by calling ourselves "Syndrome Man" and "Wing Man", while making flying Superhero actions, everytime we came acrosss her.

Re: Bad England
None of us were there so can’t comment on the situation but it’s not a good trait to mock people due to intellect. Boony I here what your saying but also disagree. Everyone should be treated with respect irrespective of gender.Boonanza wrote: ↑Sun Nov 17, 2019 6:04 pmWhy would you say that she was a woman (not a lady)?Bugatti wrote: ↑Fri Nov 15, 2019 6:56 amOne of the things I find amusing, is when they bugger up sayings.
