I listen to Radio Station 104.3 -The Christian O'Connell Breakfast Show ,Christians show is good but his English Grammar is not.
He would say Me,Jack and Patsy-He should say Patsy .Jack and Myself.
I also see naming yourself first comming into reports on this Forum-Me and Whomever
What is going on-Has the language changed or people are getting slack?

Language changes over time. Always has, always will, it’s why we don’t talk like Shakespeare anymore.

People have probably been getting cranky at language changing for just as long too.

I guess there’s always going to be a need for proper punctuation as long there are horses and uncles called Jack

Yeah, I'll put my hand up and say that I'm guilty of this...

My English is pretty horrible. I'm still not quite at born2fish levels, but it should be a lot better than what it is considering I do put effort into making my posts as comprehensible as I possibly can.

Some people just don't care or bother to have legible posts at all. It's 2019, it's almost more difficult to have poor spelling and grammar than it is to have good.

"Myself" is a reflexive pronoun.

All correct are:

1. I bought a sweater for myself, Jack and Patsy.
2. Jack bought a sweater for himself, Patsy and me.
3. Patsy and I bought a sweater for Jack.

When I was in school ,many years ago you were taught that the Ladies name comes first -The same as you open a door and let the lady walk in first -Its just good manners.
People of my Dinosaur age communicate with language not a magic box.
If we carnt communicate to each other correctly how can we get our message across to others
Christian O'Connell should know better as he is from Pommie Land and was taught English.
Its just Bad England.

Ok but in what order do we list the transgenders names?

Also, who are you calling a carnt?

What do you think a radio is ?

I have an English degree and four units of linguistics. I can go through every single one of your posts and correct it to technically correct English, or I could choose to interpret the meaning of your words in the way that I know you intended them. Actual communication is about intent.
Misunderstandings due to slightly technically incorrect English are usually due to people on the internet trying to flex the size of their fishing rods.
