hi all
i been thinking about going to a lake somewhere to have bbq and pull a knee board or donuts behind my 5.2 mt boat.
i have never done it before, i normally drive the boat on and off the trailer so need a decent ramp and only have a Commodore so needs to be a concrete ramp also, not to much to ask it is? lol
does any one know where i would be able to do this? preferably a lake somewhere
any tips any one can help me out please?
i live in bayswater so anything available in the eastern side of melb?
thanks ricki

Hey mate Pikes creek is a nice little lake north of melbourne.
Or Hazzlewood, lake naracan, and glenmmagie.
Dont stress about a concrete ramp, a lot of lakes run out of concrete ramps when the water is down.
get a snatch strap or decent rope.
hook the snatchor rope onto the saftey chain on the tralier or the toe hitch, leave the jockey wheel on and then hook the rope the the dunny door tow ball.
then just back the lot down the ramp.
same deal pulling it back outta the water.
Its the normal thing to do with ski boats at lakes and tinnys.
Dont be one of those tools we all laugh at by driving a mile out into the water and have water lappin up the doors hahaha
cheers cam
Ps have a talk to someone thats all ready there about where the tree stumps are.
should be fine out in the deeper water.
I know Glenmaggie well but the others I cant really comment on.
Ive been to pikes creek once before. great little lake.
