Man fined $18,000 for killing a Great white shark!

Not really sure if this guy thought he was helping people but he won't do it again in a hurry! Now if they could start imposing harsher fines on other offences.

i agree with the stiff penalties for killing these beautiful fish. i still cant believe that they are getting away with killing them in WA.

The fine should be much higher, but this is very hypocritical since the government has agreed to cull them in WA.
Don't get me wrong, I DONT approve of the cull either.

I don't agree to WA's culling at all!! It's the way these guys treated the shark!! Ramming it with the boat then smashing its head with a metal pole!!! WTF!!! That's just cruel and disgusting!!!

There was a far amount of info when the incident took place.

Whilst the bloke was a ****, he was trying to drive the shark away from a beach where people were swimming and wasn't aware it was a GW.
