An incredible fish! We were fishing somewhere along the river at the same time on Sun. afternoon - we encountered nothing around the time you caught your fish, but just before dark, my rod buckled over and the reel started screaming out - I had a go at steering the fish away from structure, but with 7kg line, I didn't stand much of a chance (unfortunately). Later on into the evening I did manage to land a decent fish of 82 cm and 5kg. It certainly wasn't as big as yours, but my brother and I were absolutely amazed to tangle with a mulloway again after such a long break from them! I tried again tonight for no bites whatsoever - Sun. must have just been one of those days that only come along once in a while. I don't have pictures just yet, but will post something when I have them to hand.
