Anyone going to be at Patto this week, probably be there Thursday night all night or at least high tide 2am, was there Saturday night from 10pm-6.30am for 2 runs but no hook up on pillies, tried for mullet but only got a couple of gars.
Cheers Jeff

Re: Patto full moon
Did you use the gars for bait?
Once it gets dark, baitfish are much harder to catch, which can be a perfect time to try for squid. If you want to put the odds more in your favour, whatever bait you use needs to be fresh. If you won't eat it, why should a jew? And you don't get any fresher than live bait. Pillies do work, to a degree, but so do rocks.

Re: Patto full moon
I did use the gars, I wasn't planning to fish for Jews, I went for snapper they've been getting out near the channel but it was a bit lumpy in a 4.5m tinnie, so it was my 2nd option but I'll get some from the market before I go, I've got heaps of squid heads or if it's calm I could go to Frankston/MtEliza and see if I can get a few squid.
