Unfortunately at that size they dont taste nice. The bigger ones do.

Bull s@#t they are great eating the bigger they get the better they taste but nothing wrong with that size at all crap all over most of our fish in the bay.

Hi all , well just finished having the bbq mulloway and of course invited family and friends (too big for one family) and it tasted very nice and every one who ate the fish agreed , anyway thanks for all your positive comments and wishing you all a merry Xmas and hope you catch the big one

Nice fish mate , WD . The bigger ones taste ok , but the smaller ones around that size (the smaller ones you caught) don't get the nickname 'soapie' for nothing , they pretty much taste like soap (needs heaps of seasoning). :puke: . On a side note though, I think it's the skin on the smaller ones that ruins their taste, smaller ones cooked without the skin taste fine.
