So if i comparing the 2 models correctly the only real difference is chirp function and internal gps antenna.
Is it worth having just for the chirp funtion?

Get the Garmin 7 inch gpsmaps if you're buying another combo unit mate. Much better than lowrance.

They all.have internal.gps anttenaes. The comparison is missing quite a few things. ..
Well its all personal choice really.. id go with the chirp option if i had the choice..
If your fishing deeper water its good to have..
The garmin ducky suggested is also a great unit if your wanting to go new.. but then you will have to learn garmin jargon..
If i were you id keep the hook and sell the hdi.
But if your happy with the hdi then leave it as is..

power cord is the same between lowrance elite 4 chirp and elite 5 ti (may be 7)
