Post by Finnigan » Fri Jan 29, 2016 11:37 am

looking for a reliable brand named, used paddle yak. preferably with fitted sounder and rod holders and ready to go. For $600, but can go higher if needed for the right yak. Cheers :victory:

No worries. Those are one of the better entry level yaks.

Aquayak in Hoppers Crossing have closed down, there yaks were just average and way overpriced, if you can get that one for $450 then its a good buy

first what to you plan to do with this kayak - fish the bays - skinny water - pool toy for your swimming pool
the reason is that all kayaks have limitations

this Kayak would be best suited to your swimming pool having no tide flows , real wind to contend with and you don;t have to paddle to far

any 2.7 meter kayak ( which the snapper is ) is way to slow for any open water like the bays
My kayak PBs
Gummy shark 128 Cm - Elephant fish 85 Cm - Snapper 91 Cm - KG Whiting 49 Cm - Flathead 55 Cm - Garfish 47 Cm - Silver Trevally 40 Cm - Long Tail Tuna 86 Cm - snook 64 Cm - Couta 71 Cm - Sth Calamari 44 Cm hood - Cobia 117 cm

I do want fish the bays, so that would mean i'd need a longer one, say 3m +? Hmm maybe that wavedancer in the background in the pic of that Yak is his new toy for the bay. Hmmm.
