Snorkeling gear

Post by sidrx » Fri Oct 28, 2011 11:34 pm

As the title says, snorkel gear. Preferably cheap, I'm a tight arse, but if it's a reputable brand and top quality, I'll pay the extra. If you can point me to a company, at the very least, I :love10: you.

I'm after a full complete set, so the;
1. Snorkel
2. Mask
3. Flippers

Now the not so absolutely necessary but will be nice to have
4. Wet suit
5. Spear gun or hand spear

Won't need till I start doing some free diving?
6. The floatie with a flag on it to alert people that I'm underneath

Any hints or tips will be greatly appreciated!

Cheers,

Sid

Hey lads!

Thanks for the replies.

Shaz, I'll be happy to grab 2nd hand gear. I'm in no rush, though would like to have a set before summer but can wait. Is the website SFD by any chance?

vinhii, I'm just looking for places as to where I could find snorkeling sets.

Not sure if I'll be tough enough to go freediving on my own, still a novice.
Only snorkeling experience I had was in Fiji.

I'd like to have a dry snorkel as well, cause when the snorkel submerges, it has a little reserve of air? Is this true? One of my friends have one and just kept going deeper and deeper and stayed underwater for longer.

Cheers!
