WTB begginers plastics rod

Post by purple5ive » Mon Feb 24, 2014 9:35 am

Guys
am looking for a real cheap 2 piece graphite rod to give my cousin so he can try using lures. im looking to spend something around the $35 and under..
i really missed out on the catana specials at TW..
i dont need it to be new obviously or any branded ones just something i can give him so if it breaks im not crying lollllll (his casting skills could improve by leaps and bounds)
i have a reel for it, so just a rod for now thanks

cheers

I purchased a Shakespeare synergy from JV marine a few yrs ago, paid about $30, is a good durable rod, biggest catch to date 86cm carp on plastic yabby, punches well above its weight for the price. Run braid all it's life too.
My hobbies are fishing and golf, I guess I just like frustration..

I got a 702 catana from cranny tackle world 2 weeks ago and am very impressed with the rod for its price($35). Ive only used it for squid fishing and cant fault it. Its not exactly a nitro but you really cant beat it for price IMO.
When I got time,
I wet a line cos Im a junkie,
been fishin since a kid,
I like it cos it numbs me..
