just a quick one guys,
is it compulsory to wear a life jacket when in a kayak ?? even in inland lakes??
I've been told yes but I've watched several tv shows where they don't
im headed up to ballarat to fish the lake and don't own one soooo........

My understanding is for a kayak inland waters you must wear either a type 1 or type 2 in victoria I can't speak for other states. I sometimes break the rules myself I often fish alone and I don't always wear my lifejacket when moving .

lame, looks like I'm borrowing one on the weekend, fishing a inland lake thats by all reports I've been reading seems to be fishing decent recently might have some fishery action on it don't want to get a fine
