Hey guys, so after following some advise on the forum about what kayak to get, I've found a second had hobie outback. The only problem is, the guy who I'm buying off isn't 100% sure on what model it is. He's thinking 2009 but thinks it may also be 2011.
if anyone knows if you could tell me that'd be great! Cheers Sam

Re: Hobie Outback Model?
Looks like a 2007/2008 to me... Can't be 100% from the photos, as it's a bit too small.
The rudder up/down control is that small black lever just to the left of the seat back in the photo.
2009 onwards have the pull-cord/toggles for rudder up/down.
Also looks like it has the twist cam-locks for the mirage drive.
You can ask him to check the serial number (engraved into the side of the hull, just infront of the rudder) that shows the year.
Cheers,
Mike.

Re: Hobie Outback Model?
Mate unless removed ALL Hobies have a serial number. Have a look at the rear or near rudder (not 100% sure on Outback)
