Depends what condition it's in. Check the scuppers and drivewell for cracks or wear, check the drive seems to work ok

Careful with that one, it looks like a knockoff Native Watercraft Slayer

Sorry, just saw this post now.
If it’s still available with beach wheels etc then it’s not a bad deal.
Hobie’s have been around for decades & the pedal started in the late 90’s.
These pedals are old but will work. You can from time to time pick up a good second hand drive for $450 sometimes less. A new drive depending on which model can vary from $875 to $1400.
The seat on this one personally sucks as it means a wet ride compared to the post 2015 models. But if you’re handy you can fit a boat seat which has been done plenty for under $100.
The Outback is a good yak & not too heavy. Somebody mentioned Native, but they use a pedal like a bicycle which is great for fishing structures or currents & you want to hold position while trolling/spinning. Ok so Hobie has their MD180 which also allows pedalling backwards but you have to pull a toggle which takes 2 seconds.
You will find “generally” people are fiercely loyal to their brands : Stealth, Viking, Jackson, Hobie, Native. For me it’s Hobie for pedals or Stealth for paddle (but they’re vastly different again)

Need to know how old it is, You can only tell this from the serial number which should be be etched underneath the rear of hull somewhere, last two digits give year 09, etc. Also how old (version the drive is). It has the basic fins, but they can be upgraded if you like any time. Dont rely on say so of seller, they notorious get it wrong.

First impression is that price is in the ball park, subject to condition etc.
