Rods

Post by Pethrk » Sun Jun 25, 2017 8:52 pm

Hey guys looking at buying a fishing rod for trout off the banks of eildon.

Was thinking of using a 1-3kg rob and was wondering if anyone could reccomend a good rod for a resonable price.

Cheers

What would you consider to be a reasonable price and will the rod be used for other purposes

I use these for trout and they were alright. Affordable and good quality. Only thing is that you have to wait a bit unless you go with the priority option.

Edit: just checked and 3 rods with 2-5 day shipping is around $160! Good value...

For a budget rod I've found the Diawa Aird X great value for money for just under a $100.

If you prefer Shimano the Sonic Pro is pretty good as well for about $80.

I prefer to use rods specifically for bait fishing or lure fishing I find it hard to have one rod that does both especially if your flicking 2-5gram lures.

Cheers
