A mate just gave me a sienna 4000. Do you reckon that’ll go alright?
I run 4000 reels on my snapper gear partners on my 7kg to 12kg terez rods.

4000 is good size could put them on a smalller rod just put some lighter braid on the spool to suit your fishing

And if you do decide down the track to upgrade to a baitrunner I'm pretty sure most of the shimano models come with a spare spool which is great to be able to run 2 different size lines or mono/braid. Almost as good as having 2 reels :victory:

This is all great advice fellas, thanks.

Having had a muck around last night putting a few reels on it, I actually like the feel of it with my shimano symetre 3000. Maybe I’ll fix that up with some 12 pound braid and keep my eye out of a 6-8kg rod for the sienna 4000.
