Shimano Elipse rod?

I bought 8 a while back, as in the boat they get bashed around more than i would like. They seem like a decebt rod for the price, yet to hook anything huge on one, but they fare ok dragging up 20oz sinkers. I will say the guides arent great quality as i have had the inner ring fall out of one after only one trip, i think i can attribute that mostly to user error though as the person using it wound the rig up to the first guide at full speed (i put plastic beads before the swivels cos this seems to happen a lot with people that dont fish much)
